There are 35 members serving in the Colorado State Senate, the upper house of the Colorado State Legislature. Each is elected to represent citizens living in a specific legislative district (Senate District) of about 123,000 in population (2000 Census). Members elected to the Colorado State Senate serve a four-year term and are limited to two consecutive terms in office.
As part of the League of Women Voters of Arapahoe County voter service program, questions were submitted to the Arapahoe County candidates running for Senate positions in Districts 26, 27, 28 and 29. The following are their responses.
